Mike learned construction from the ground up — literally. His father and grandfather both owned and operated custom home building companies in Orange County, California and Tucson, Arizona. Growing up on job sites and beginning work in the field during high school, Mike developed a deep respect for hands-on work, quality craftsmanship, and doing things the right way from the very beginning.
Krystal’s foundation in construction and business came from her father and grandfather, who operated successful grading companies in Temecula, California. Their work helped lay the groundwork for many of the tract home communities built throughout the 1980s and early 2000s.Watching the day-to-day operations of a family-run business gave Krystal firsthand insight into leadership, organization, and what it takes to build a company from the inside out.
After years in public works and residential construction, Mike earned his license and launched Customz Design + Builder in 2005. By 2010, he had found his calling in dental and medical construction, where precision and trust are everything.

Mike Hall is the Founder and Principal of Customz Design + Builder. Born in Laguna Beach and raised in San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point, Mike was introduced to the construction industry at an early age. While still in high school, he worked alongside his father on custom home projects throughout Orange County, developing the hands-on experience and strong work ethic that would shape his career.
After college, Mike spent years estimating and managing large-scale public works projects before earning his California contractor’s license in 2005. By 2010, he transitioned from residential construction into commercial build-outs, specializing in dental and medical offices. Today, Mike holds three Arizona contractor licenses, alongside three California contractor licenses — B (General Building), C36 (Plumbing), and C10 (Electrical) — and is certified in Medical Gas installation (NFPA 99).
His unique combination of hands-on field experience, technical knowledge, and design expertise allows him to oversee every aspect of a project with precision and efficiency. Highly skilled in CAD drafting, Mike produces his own plans and possesses a comprehensive understanding of the permitting and construction process from start to finish. He brings a deep understanding of workflow, compliance, functionality, and patient experience to every design, ensuring each space is both practical and purpose-driven.

While much of her work happens behind the scenes, Krystal plays a vital role throughout every project. From coordinating schedules and managing workflows to supporting the team behind the scenes, she helps create a seamless experience from planning through completion. Her organized approach, proactive communication, and commitment to follow-through bring clarity and consistency to every project she touches.
